Wish Interiors have commissioned the Franken chair for Pauls sister Jo Wood (formally Ronnie Wood's Wife from The Rolling Stones ). This famous painting by paul features Boris Karloff who played Frankenstein he was best remembered for his roles in horror films and his portrayal of Frankenstein's monster in the 1931 film Frankenstein, 1935 film Bride of Frankenstein, and 1939 film Son of Frankenstein. His popularity following Frankenstein in the early 1930s was such that for a brief time he was billed simply as "Karloff" or, on some movie posters, "Karloff the Uncanny"
The Hepburn chair also feature pauls fine art of Audrey Hepburn. Hepburn became one of the most successful film actresses in the world and performed with such notable leading men as Gregory Peck, Rex Harrison, Humphrey Bogart, Gary Cooper, Cary Grant, Henry Fonda, William Holden, Fred Astaire, Peter O'Toole, and Albert Finney. She won BAFTA Awards for her performances in The Nun's Story (1959) and Charade (1963), and received Academy Award nominations for Sabrina (1954), The Nun's Story (1959), Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961) and Wait Until Dark (1967).
The Joker Chair (HOLLYWOOD)
Hand painted by Paul Karslake the detail and capturing of Heath Ledger is immense.
A driving portion of the Batman Fever that followed the release of The Dark Knight can be attributed to Heath Ledger’s fearless/terrifying portrayal of The Joker. Even with the considerable buzz leading up to the release of the movie, few were prepared for the commanding disappearing act that was Ledger’s performance. Captured here in all his menacing facets.
